In 1971, Theobald Alfons Müller (Theo Müller) took over his fathers four-man company in Aretsried, Bavaria, and turned it into an enterprise with a present annual turnover of 5.6 billion Euros. The commercial success of the Group is therefore largely down to him.
Müller became the first German dairy company to establish sales on a national scale.
